About, ingredients & important information
A clean, concentrated omega-3 formula.
IPS Omega 3 delivers EPA and DHA — the two long-chain omega-3 fatty acids — as marine triglycerides, in a soft gel capsule. It’s a source of omega-3 fatty acids for the maintenance of good health, taken as 2 capsules a day.
Why these ingredients
- Omega-3 is an essential fatty acid — the body cannot produce it itself, so it has to come from diet or supplementation. Unlike omega-6, which is easy to get enough of from a typical diet, omega-3 usually isn’t.
- DHA is the most important omega-3 fatty acid, forming part of the cell membranes throughout the body — it’s found in particularly high amounts in the retina, brain and sperm.
- This specific EPA/DHA combination supports the maintenance of good health and supports cognitive health and brain function.
- Sustainably sourced from cold-water fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, tuna and sardines.
This might be for you if…
- You want your EPA and DHA amounts stated on the label, not folded into a vague “fish oil” figure.
- You’re comfortable with a marine-derived softgel — not suitable if you have a seafood allergy (see below).
- You’re an adult, 18 or older.
What’s inside (per capsule)
Measured to the milligram, not eyeballed. Usual dose is 2 capsules a day:
| INGREDIENT | PER CAPSULE |
|---|---|
| EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), as triglycerides | 160 mg |
| DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), as triglycerides | 100 mg |
