About, ingredients & important information
More than a single-source vitamin C.
IPS Vitamin C combines a high-dose calcium ascorbate with green rooibos and a rutin-standardised extract in one formula. It’s a source of vitamin C for the maintenance of good health — vitamin C helps the immune system to work better, works as an antioxidant, and keeps the tissues in skin, bones and joints healthy.
Why these ingredients
- Vitamin C can’t be produced by the body — it has to come from diet (citrus fruit, papaya and other orange or yellow fruit are good sources) or supplementation. It’s water-soluble, so any excess is excreted in urine — which is why it helps to split the daily dose.
- Antioxidant protection — vitamin C helps protect cells against the damage caused by free radicals, keeping them healthy and functioning.
- Supports collagen formation for the maintenance of bones, cartilage, teeth and gums, and contributes to the formation of connective tissue.
- Also helps with wound healing and supports the immune system.
- Green Oxithin™ is also an antioxidant and works alongside vitamin C to help protect the body against free-radical damage.
- Rutin is an antioxidant that also helps protect blood vessels, keeping them strong and healthy.
This might be for you if…
- You want vitamin C at 300 mg per capsule, buffered as calcium ascorbate rather than plain ascorbic acid.
- You’re 12 or older — dosing differs by age band, see below.
- You’re not already taking large, long-term doses of vitamin C from elsewhere.
